Sugar Bliss

When I got home from work this afternoon, this is what was waiting for me on the kitchen counter top. I jumped for joy!

There they were...... 6 tiny pretty mini cupcakes in a brown box.  But I couldn't resist, and ate one before taking the pictures to show you. So now a red velvet cupcake is truly my tummy's eatable joy.
Sugar Bliss is one of my favorite cupcake stores in Chicago. They have the most delicious strawberry cupcake I ever had. My wonderful, handsome, super-special boyfriend surely knows that.

These adorable cupcakes really make my day. Aww.....  you are the sweetest cupcake ever!!

Sarah Cihat :: Dirt

Happy June, everyone. I first saw Sara Cihat's Rehabilitated Dishware years ago, I have been smitten ever since. Subsequently, Dirt, her porcelain collection, has been added to her portfolio. I think they are so comely. And I can't stop picturing myself on the patio reading book and sipping tea out of these pretty cups.

Summertime cocktail :: Summer Bliss

I hope you all had a wonderful memorial day weekend. Finally it feels like summer here in Chicago. It's time to head out to the beach or hang out by the pool and sip a cold summer beverage.

Even thought I don't like drinking, I somehow find myself enjoying creating new cocktails for my friends to try. And they seem to love them. I like the pretty color of Hpnotiq and I love drinking lemony refreshment on a hot day. The combination of these two are perfect for my new drink. Hence, my summer cocktail is born....

Dinner in The Sky

I don't know about you but I was so excited when I learned about Dinner In The Sky. Speaking of unique dining experiences, Dinner In The Sky is definitely up my alley. Height and I aren't really great friends, but I really want to have a dinner up in the sky 160 - 180 feet above the ground with 360 degree view. Hmm.... if I actually do it, I'd better not drop my fork. Beyond any doubt it could hurt someone.

In the Kitchen: Matcha Sponge Cake

I baked Matcha sponge cake last night. It was my first time ever baking a sponge cake. It's not as easy as I thought it would be. My cake turned out too firm for a sponge cake and too sweet for my taste. But it dose look good (good enough for me to take picture and show you. ^_^) You will see more of me & sponge cake for sure.....

Recently, my boyfriend has grown his love of drinking tea, and he accidentally brought loose leaf tea instead of tea leaves in filterbags. That does make me curious about what kind of steeping essentials there are out there for the full-leaf tea drinker....

Great food Good time: Graham Elliot

We chose to go to Graham Elliet, this year, for my best friend Mina's birthday. Chef Graham Elliet is a formerly the chef de cuisin of Avenues. It is a perfect place for a great meal without the stuffiness of high-end, upscale restaurant. We had a fun time there while having great food. I couldn't stop myself from munching down those popcorn appetizers, seasoned with cracked pepper, chives, Parmesan cheese & truffle oil. Oh so yummy!!

In the Kitchen: Berries mousse....

One fun things of going to Thai Buddhist Temple is most people bring yummy home-cooked meal to the temple. It's the best place you can find authentic Thai food. And everybody there are so joyful and so welcoming. Yesterday, I decided to go to Thai Buddhist temple. After almost hour long of chanting, praying and meditating, the feast begin!!
